Brief question here....does the *entire* Milton Keynes concert and all of the BBC sessions exist on MP3? If so would anyone care to point me in the right direction as to where I could find them? Thanks in advance.

I think BBC "The March Of The Black Queen" is identical with the album track and therefore not included in the BBC mp3 collection.

Milton Keynes was aired on TV and there is a 79 minutes video but I doubt if that was the entire concert. Actually, I think the complete concert is still not available on audio or video.

You find all the tracks in the hub, think about joining :)

"I think BBC "The March Of The Black Queen" is identical with the album track and therefore not included in the BBC mp3 collection."

I'd like to debate that. Many things are kept rare because there is something special about them. So let's think about this honestly for a second... the very unique versions of Nevermore and White Queen leaked, but TMOTBQ didn't? In that respect, there's no way I can believe TMOTBQ was just the album version. There must be something spectacular about this version that a few people want to keep for themselves.

Some Mexican friend once told me that the entire Milton does exist, if I'm not wrong it was called the "Command Performance" bootleg. Anyway I just have basic show with 17 tracks, great performance of Somebody to Love.

"The command performance" does not contain the full concert. It's just the well known edited version.

YV is correct. The album & BBC versions of "March Of The Black Queen" are identical. The reason for this is that the track aired was a last minute inclusion to the set. (In otherwords the band recorded three tracks, but the BBC wanted four. Queen duely obliged by submitting an album track as the fourth option).

This I know because I have the original set, and I have shared this info on this board many times before. (Even before they were "leaked").

Sorry to burst yet another mythological bubble - but no true BBC version of "March Of The Black Queen" exists - PERIOD.

Thanks again for the info John. I knew I saw the info before but I could not remember specifically.

I agree. The only different thing between those versions is that the one they sent to the "BBC" was a stand-alone one.

I have a quick question about the Milton Keynes concert... why does Freddie change from using his usual mike stand to a cordless one without the stand?

I have something called the 'Strike' demo and also a version with a Brian guitar solo in the middle (minus the horns).

Ian, the so-called "Strike" demo is just a fan remix of that song, no real Queen-demo.

The reason why Freddie changes to the cordless mic is that he had problems with the other. You can see it on the video (if I remember correctly). I think he shakes the "normal one" few times before he changes it to the cordless mic.
He had same kind of problems also in Buenos Aires March 1st 1981 video and he sings to John's microphone. I think this was during Save Me.
By the way, did anyone notice they turn the volume level up on John's mic when Freddie grabs it? This proves it was plugged to the mixing desk but was with lower volume level than the others..
