I know that this is an ethical quagmire but...

Does anyone know an apparent reason for the absence of the song "Father to Son" from Queen II on certain peer-to-peer networks? Everything else from that album is easy to find, even the song "See What I Fool I've Been" from the '91 re-release. If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

I know one sure-fire way to get that song... You REALLY should buy Queen II! It's SUCH a good album!

I have the album, but Father to Son is also online.

But you definitely should buy Queen II if nothing else.

Thanks FredM. I really do plan to purchase Queen II (as well as the rest of the albums), but my ideal strategy is to get the "Crown Jewels" box set with the first 8 albums. However, that is quite expensive (though cheaper than buying all 8 albums individually) and my funds are limited at the moment. This is just a way of getting to experience Queen's full body of work and not being cut out of the picture on the boards...imagine how little I'd be able to discuss if my Queen knowledge was limited to simply the Greatest Hits albums!

You can get a brand new, sealed 'Crown Jewels' set on closeout from Disney Deals on Ebay for $35.

I bought one in December. Arrived within a week for $5.95 shipping. People are buying them at this price and reselling them... and suckers are falling for it.

Incidently, yours is by far the best excuse I've ever heard for downloading free music. So you can discuss it on message boards. That's priceless! :-P

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding you, Tingler, but I'm confused at what you mean when you say "and suckers are falling for it." I'm assuming you mean people are buying them at $35 and then selling it more much more. Again, forgive me if I'm just being stupid and slow.

And I hope I haven't made a fool of myself. I don't listen to or download music just to discuss it on message boards...I do it first and foremost because I like the music. I buy albums too--but there's a money issue, as I noted above. And truthfully, it does help on the boards as I can actually understand what people are talking about. At any rate, thank you for the link and for your interest.

I meant that the people who are buying from others are suckers, when they could be getting it direct from Disney (Hollywood Records parent company) for $35. :)

And I didn't mean to make you seem foolish. I understand the money issues. It's too bad the record industry doesn't understand that fans become bigger fans and paying fans eventually when they get to sample enough stuff for free.
