A few years ago I saw the the Dutch Queen Fanclub singing Bohemian Rhapsody on the Dutch TV program "Schreeuw van de Leeuw". Are there some poeple here who sang with them?

Hehe, yep I was there... But I had a seat at a different level as the ones that got interviewed and where clearly visible during the singing.

It was a nice broadcast. All the fans singing Bo Rhap with lighters in their hands. I wasn't that old then, maybe twelve years (when was it? '92?), but I still remember it.

Yeah, it was pretty cool. Those were the days Paul de Leeuw still ruled ;-) I think I must have been 1993... (have to look up the video tape to be sure) I remember wearing my signed Back To The Light tour t-shirt on the day. (the second and last time I wore this precious shirt ;-)
You were there too? Where you also 'recruted' on the Dutch convention earlier that year??

Sadly enough I wasn't there. In 1993 I was only nine/ten years old. I was a queen fan in development, just bought GH and GHII. By the way, I'm still not a fan club member. Is it worth it?

Well, I used to be a member until the mid-nineties. I quit for several reasons but one of them was that I found it not worth the money anymore. The magazines turned a bit interesting around the time that either Roger or Brian did a tour. But other then that, understandebly, since Freddie's death it all became less and less. Besides: the already scarce (and lots of times incorrect) information published in the magazines is now much much earlier already widely known because of the internet. And what are the other advantages of being a member of the Queen fanclub? Err... you can order t-shirts, you are welcome at the convention... Ah yes, you get a sticker or something every five years you are a member!! More... I realy don't know. I know I'm a bit cynical here, but you have to figure out for yourself if you find it worth the money.
Cheers!

Hey Jeroen, haven't seen you in a while. How are things?

Do you have ICQ btw?

Hey Niek!

Yeah, I've not been the regular in here as before lately. I still come here every day but there are rarely any topics that I feal like posting in... Well, you probably know what I mean ;-)

But things are pretty much okay, thanks. No, I don't have ICQ, but expect to get it in a couple of weeks. I'm going to move next month (to a place where I can finally get decent internet!! Achterlijk Zuid Limburg ;-))) and a new computer. So my plan was to do a major update on all kinds of stuff computer-wise, one of them being to get ICQ.
Hope you're doing okay too??
Talk to you soon,

Groetjes!
