Any chance of seeing the spectrum of this? I downloaded previously a "lossless" EC in ex and that was totally
cut at 14khz. (MP2 scheme!). Of course it was free so I have no right to complain ;-)

Check out the "sticky" post at the top of the Sharing the Music page - that should help you get started.

These crazy flac files are a lossless format(not unlike .shn's)
If you use winamp you can get patches for .flac's & .shn's

http://winamp.com/plugins/browse.php?search=yes&filter=C&query=flac for the flac &

http://wiki.etree.org/index.php?page=ShnAmp for the shn's
hope that answers your questions.
Any body got other ideas?

Why only the audio when you say there's a video for this? Just wonderin cause you say you already posted this concert before. Kinda odd.

Peace,
Adam.

Thankyou for this download! I just played on winamp, and the sound quality is amazing! This concert is great! EMI should give this one a proper dvd release!

Wait a minute...if you posted the video with the audio on it, we could just extract the audio for a cd copy.

Peace,
Adam.

I have to say even though I love there 70's albumns this concert proves that they actually got better live, as time went on (Live at Wembley 86').

In this concert Brian kept messing up all over the place, and Roger's voice died on 39'. Also, what happened to the echoes on Prophet's Song that must have been aggrevating. Well Freddie did ok considering the technical difficulties.

The purpose of torrenting flacs, as opposed to sharing mp3s, is to share the files in a format where quality won't be compromised for the sake of transferring the files that much quicker.

Yepper... :)

For any newbies... mp3s are files compressed to slightly lower sound quality, or in some cases, due to poor encoding, much lower sound quality, often resulting in digital noises throughout. And once an mp3 is converted to wave, and encoded back into mp3 again, its quality gets worse.

Once a file is compressed to flac format, it doesn't lose any quality. It can go back to wave, and to flac again, still lossless.

a friend told me that in mp3 the frequencies that a human can´t hear are eliminated, because they are so high or so low for us to hear them, and there was no diffrence in sound quality, and that's why mp3 are a lot shorter than wavs. Compression and less freq's. Is that true?

Yes and no. It does eliminate the frequencies that the ear apparently won't miss. But, although this is how MP3 works, we can still perceive the frequencies that are now missing. Well, almost everyone can!

Which is why we can tell the difference between 22kHz, 44kHz, 96kHz and 192kHz. Although anything above 22kHz is supposed to be out of our range, we can still hear differences in the sound. Mainly because those extra frequencies are doing something that is affecting our perception of the sound.

Peace,
Adam.
