Funny? I don't really see the humor.

I'm not offended. But maybe go find a biography.

He was with Mary Austin for awhile, who appears to be a woman. :D

If Freddie never made the relationship public, then only he and the other person would actually know the truth. So, you pretty much have to rely on getting the story from the source or gossip...

whoa, we are being harsh on people today! Remember oldies that this is a site for fans, we shouldnt be having a go at people who ask these kinds of questions just cos we have heard them lots of times. Be nice!
Yes, Phoebes book on freddie states that as his close friend he was privy to some of these more likely female relationships.

Freddie fought SO HARD to keep his private life as private as possible. He could have been blatant like some of today's "stars", but he was very tactful and that was quite out of the ordinary for someone as famous as he was.
I admire him for this, I really do.

Freddie said that he fell deeply in love with women very easily. With men, however,it was purely physical pleasure-and an outlet for his constant energy.

"I'm not afraid to speak out and say the things I want and do the things I want,so um,I think in the end that being natural and quite genuine is what wins." Freddie Mercury
