As everybody knows - it is the woman's responsibility to ensure that she has the necessary equipment when it comes to birth control. The last thing I want is a knock on t'door from the Child Support Agency, wanting ten bob a week towards the upkeep of a Flashy Jnr from some long forgotten tumble in an alleyway nine month's previous.

By the same token then, surely all women should be able to provide, when requested, documentation showing that they have been recently screened for Sexually Transmitted Diseases and are in good working order.

A sort of M.O.T. for fillies, if you will.

I can't pronounce all the hideous diseases doing the rounds at the moment - it must be a pleasure to just get herpes these days. What with my playboy lifestyle, I can't afford the dreaded dose, or even worse 'dropsy'. Not at my time of life. It would finish me off.

All I ask then, is for all women of a rideable age to visit their local quack, have the old plunger test, and if that litmus paper turns red then you should rightly be quarantined or shot until a cure can be found.

As far as I can see, this is the only sane way to battle this terrible, scrotum-twisting peril.

Yes, I agree, I got a dose about 10 years ago, not long after leaving school, and im not afraid to admit it. But I was a leetle beet drunk, and this woman apparently used to do the rounds every weekend. I was young and naive but learned a lot of lessons, I never want an experience like that again! My ex used to go for regular 'tests' just to make sure she was in full working order. Bloody oil change was a rip off though.

What if the red litmus turns blue? Ah, I shouldn't worry...I'm sure there's a basic solution for that.

And what, dare I ask, keeps you from taking responsibility yourself, Oh Holy Flashman?

Screening half of the population is like a surgeon only washing one hand. Takes both halves to minimize the risk of disease or unwanted pregnancy.

Which is why you should wrap it up and take care of yourself instead of insisting that half are to blame. :)

Can you believe this topic was deleted by numpties over on QOL?
I find this both incredulous and insulting.

I have re-posted it over there in the hope of stirring up some trouble.

Granted, I need to get out more.

I guess it can't be a good thing if the litmus paper burns up inside there...

You get drunk flashy?! good grief. I think in this day and age, men need to start taking some responsabilities- after all, especially in the uk, stds are on the up and women are binge drinking- thus we ALSO aint capable of always providing the *cough*, 'equipment'.
opps, sorry, i made this a bit serious! :S

I must admit this is a sore subject since some ***tard whom shall be nameless (who does post on this board) is my son's father and has not paid ANY child support and takes no responsibility for our son at all.....I know it takes two to tango and we are BOTH responsible - I took my half of the responsiblity!!!! I love my son more than life itself so getting "caught" that night in 2001 was well worth it, dammit, even though this was SO unplanned. As far as the STD thing goes, EVERYBODY should be screened!!!!!!!!!!!
