*sighs* Okay, I have Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, and Quicktime, all the newest versions at that. Can't you guys make these downloads into those types of files instead of this "torrent" thing that very few people have? You'd make a lot of people very happy, and keep a lot of people's hard drives less cluttered.

Making torrent files means that the file can be retrieved from the host's own computer, rather then shelling out for the huge amount of server space that would be needed for these files. Also torrenting saves on the hosts bandwidth. For example the Argentina video currently being torrented, the full size of this is 1.7Gb and there are currently 37 people downloading it. Even if the host had a standard UK ADSL connection the maximum upstream bandwidth would be 32Kb per second (256,000bps /8) which would mean these 37 people would be downloading at about 0.864 KB/sec, rather then the 65KB/sec my download is currently going at. For the most basic BitTorrent program go here http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/ or for more information on Torrent files try looking here http://www.vladd44.com/bittorrent.htm Hope this has been some help, any further questions please feel free to ask away.

QueenZeppelin, your player has nothing to do with the download. You need software to download the torrent files just as you need other software to download from ftp or from the hub. Once you have the complete video on your computer you can play it your Windows Madia Player.
When Ogre seeded Freddie's Millions I downloaded burst! from this website
http://krypt.dyndns.org:81/torrent/index.phtml?action=download
(the first big link) and installed it within two minutes. It's very easy to use. Sure I don't know anything about torrents but I was able to download and to seed the video. Just give it a try, it's easy enough or try the client marc recommended. If you are not willing to try at least one software, you just won't get anything. Richard does a lot to share big files with as many people as possible but you must at least download them yourself.

I do not want any google ads here.

A torrent is just a small file that allows you to share things that you can play with Quicktime, Windows Media Players, Winamp, etc. There is no reason to be overwhelmed by all of this.

You need to do as YV suggested, and you need to read the faq that's been posted about torrents. Otherwise, you'll be out of the loop.
