Barbara died in 2002, 61 years old in Munich. She had been seriously ill for some time, she then had a stroke, was in a coma and then became dependend of a wheelchair, finally she died on 22-02-02.

She was a very famous film actress in her native Germany and all over the world. Not so much in the states. BTW her name was spelled Barbara Valentin. She was in Werner Fassbinder films which you probably could rent nowadays.

In her heyday she was Germany's answer to France's sex kitten, Brigitte Bardot and the American sex goddess, Jayne Mansfield.
