does anyone know what sort of money bands earn frm use of their songs on tv, such as when Another one bies the dut was used on gladiators and Led Zeppeln' whole lotta love was used on top of the pops?

There's a edit button, you know
"On the first day Pim & Niek created a heavenly occupation. Pim & Niek blessed it and named it 'Loosch'."

I don't know how much they get, but I'm sure people will have to pay for using those songs, otherwise it would be stealing....

I think I read somewhere that for a song to be used in a movie about $7000 is paid. For a broadcast on a huge radiostation, something like $75-100 a minute.

You are asking how much the BANDMEMBERS are getting? The only correct answer is a few cents (litterly CENTS) each time the song gets played. Same as when a song is played on the radio. Of course the actual writer of the work gets a little more and the company that owns the copyright to the songs makes the real money.
