I've been looking to find the source of an MP3 file I came across and then posted in this thread:

From feedback thus far, it sounds like this is from the 'No News/Good News' bootleg. However, I'm still not quite sure what the actual source files are. From what I've pieced together, it sounds like it was a BBC session that was later remasters with fake live audience added for BBC DJ Jon Peel's show.

If anyone has more information on this bootleg, please let me know. I'd (of course) also love to find a copy of this...either an audio file or an actual physical copy of the LP (or CD or whatever it was originally...)

"as the rest is completely fake, and not even cleverly done."

Ah. Well, I'm actually hunting it down for the sound quality. It seems to exceed the BBC sessions but a mile in terms of clarity, lack of hiss, and full a full spectrum of sound.

Granted, this could all be something done digitally after it was dubbed from tape/LP. I don't know if you've listened to the MP3 I've posted, but if you know of a source of the files with that quality, THAT is what I'm on the hunt for! ;O)

And, yes, it did help...thanks for the info!
