I'd like to see techno removed from the face of the earth.

I'd like to see or maybe even hear complete remixes of "The Works" through "Innuendo". As true to the original mixes as possible but in better sound quality. Oh, and for the same reason.. all of "Jazz".

Serious reply:

I'd like to hear a "Hot Space...Naked". The songs from HS, but without all the keyboards and horns. Just bass+drums+gtr+vox.

for what it's worth, this is something (kind of), that i've been working on for a very long time....remixing all of 'Hot Space' to try and make a better album of it. it's been a little difficult -- i've come up with some brilliant mixes of 'Life is Real', a rockin' version of 'Back Chat' (mixing both the final studio version, and the bootleg -- the solo sounds like classic Brian, as in something he would've come up with mid-70s), but for all the good stuff I've got, there's still some i can't figure out what to do....there's no way at all to make 'Body Language' a rock song, i've been trying (and failing) for years to figure out a way to take a sort of Milton Keynes approach to 'Staying Power' and make it more of a jazz/rock song, and, as much as it kills me to say it, and as i hate to admit defeat, despite several attempts, "Action This Day" just can't seem to exist without that weird synth-sax thing. i don't get it, but as much as it grates on my nerves, the song doesn't work without it. at least, not in the form it's in. as it is, i've got about a half-album of remixes for 'Hot Space', and it's all the stuff that sounds good remixed. (i've also got a remix of 'Under Pressure' that i came up with, but -- through the course of remixing it personally, and hearing other people's attempts at remixing it, i've realized it is, simply, the PERFECT song. any remix, as much as you may think it may be making one thing better, destroys something else in the song. it's a perfect balance.)

are we talking remix or cover?

I think it's be interesting to maybe hear acoustic mixes of various tracks, just for something different. One of my favorite band's singer broke his leg, so they finished their tour acoustically, with acoustic guitar, one guitar player playing the chords on piano instead of guitar, they kept bass and drums, and retooled the second guitar part to fit. It was interesting to sat the least.

so yeah something like, or just piano versions would be cool too.

You should post some of your remixes, BackToHuman. We've been a little starved of any fan-made stuff lately.

Peace,
Adam.
