Who was the first band to open up for Queen, and when did they stop having opening bands? I saw them in "82" and there was no other band there, it was all Queen and it was awesome.

Try queenconcerts.com for opening act info. Scully surely has a list on there for each tour.

Off hand, I know that the Magic Tour featured several different opening acts, so there was no time when they just stopped outright.

The first band must have been Nutz, opening for Queen in early 1974. More info on my site:

Best Queen support i saw was Straight Eight and Heart.
