i've downloaded the video of the indian awards with roger taylor and led zeppelin, did they played the 'rock'n'roll' original version playback?????????

Unfortunately, you're right. What a disappointment that was... I thought I'd get to see a video of them performing the song.

Is there actually a video available of Brian and Roger performing the Zeppelin cover?

(other than the LA '02 one, which hasn't become available)

There's a video of Roger performing Rock N' Roll with the SAS Band on Del's Birthday Bash in 1998 - the highlight of an otherwise dull event which was released on semi official VHS tape. He also performed it on both Marquee 92 shows and on various solo concerts (I think) but I don't remember off my head if there are video recordings.
