That's true..Freddie wrote it for Elvis. That's how Freddie got his start in music...writing songs for other people. He originally wrote Bohemian Rhapsody for Barry Manilow, but Barry cut the song from his album at the last minute, and the rest is, as they say, history.....

Elvis died 2 years before it was written, and Elvis couldn't write to save his life.

There must be more to life than this.

Perhaps if people bought the disc - they could read such minor details.

It's a pity that MP3 downloads do not provide such information!

I thought Freddie wrote it while shaving his beard! And I thought Elvis died because he used to eat fried squirrels...

What happened was, Freddie and Elvis used to work together and they had a row so Freddie, in revenge, took the song and claimed it as his own. And then Elvis all up and died out of depression...... and cheeseburgers dipped in lard :-D

Freddie, actually the whole band, wrote more songs for Elvis. "Fat Bottomed King", "Now I'm Here (in the Waffle House again)", "We Will Karate Chop You", "All Fed, All Fed", and "I Want To Break Wind".

They were actually all on one album entitled, "The King Sings Queen". I think it charted pretty high on the Ukranian chart...like 5 or 6.
Can anyone verify that for us??

Man, what a load of bullshit. "Fat bottomed King" was written by Roger, as we all know.
