anybody here know of an easy song that 3 people who are just starting to play in a band could do for a talent show? Our drummer has never played drums befor and me and my friend are just starting out on bass and guitar. Thanks
Pluto.

How long before you play at the talent show?

Tie your mother down has a fairly easy guitar riff. But you all are just starting? Is it wise to enter a talent contest prior to developing your talents?

Most punk songs are easy to play...for guitarists and bassists. It's incredibly difficult to keep up the bass drum, snare and hi-hat patterns often associated with punk songs (I should know, I'm a drummer). For a good example, listen to any live version of 'Sheer Heart Attack', or even Led Zeppelin's 'Wearing And Tearing'.

Damn near impossible, if I do say so myself.

Billy Squier's "The Stroke" sounds pretty easy.

Hi!

You should check some Nirvana songs, f.e. Smells like teen spirit, Lithium, Come as you are, or the typical Summer of 69, Smoke on the Water, Sunshine of your Love, Bad moon rising, Lady in Black, Sweet Home Alabama ;-) oh there are many!

Status Quo songs will work quite easy. And as said before, Punk songs in general.

Special thanks to Arif Mardin who arranged and produced some hot and spacey horns on "Staying Power" ;-)
