This is a live recording. I like it :) The vocal isn't the best but the musicians are quite good I think.

Yes, great instumental parts. As for the lead vocal - I don't know what you guy's problem is. Hardly anyone is more critical of shoddy vocals than I, but these were good. It wasn't perfect, but it was good. Especially considering it was live, this is a very good performace.

I think the guitar sounds nice. Bass, too quiet, vocal, pants! Middle drum solo needs MORE practice. The guitars make this one.

I love this British expression 'pants'. Doesn't that mean underwear there?

The lead vocals were by me, the band was guys I work with. I wasn't trying to sound like Freddie Mercury, my voice is what it is. Nobody has the pipes Freddie has. This was a live perfomance at a local night club here in Scottsdale, AZ with about 200 people hanging out. We did an eight song set, all Queen. This ended up being one of the better sounding songs, all things considered. I'm disappointed everyone isn't pleased. This was the second time I have ever sung in public, period! I've been an in the car singer for years. While not flawless, my pitch was generally right on, so I don't get the overall bashing. A couple of lines sound rushed...but there was a guy in the front holding a lighter up the whole set. He was hammered! Regarding the drum solo, yes, it sounds thin, but the original track recorded by Queen is two drum tracks mixed together. All three of the guys playing instruments are top notch musicians and deserve accolades for playing stuff so I could go sing. Hats of to Andy (guitar), Jay (bass), Scott (drums) and Rob, who did keyboards and sang harmony through a harmonizer!

Most songs had strong and weak points in them, this was probably the best all the way through. I hope others did enjoy this. The crowd there seemed to love it! I may risk further bashing and send up another track some other time...

Cheers!

I like the song a lot and now I am sorry I did not post. We have had this a couple of times now that only those who have to say something critical bother to post while those who like the song don't. I think the vocal performance is very good and your voice fits the song well. Thanks for sharing it.

I also think it's very good. What other songs did you play Michael?

Set list:

One Vision
Fat Bottomed Girls
Keep Yourself Alive
Dragon Attack
Now I'm Here
Hammer To Fall
Stone Cold Crazy
Tie Your Mother Down

Many of the songs are not familiar to the general public, but were well received.

Weakest song (performance wise) was One Vision. It's a very complicated song to play live...came together OK, but not what I had hoped for. Nerves on my part hindered what should have been a more powerful opening song. Other than that, all went well.
