Elton Or George?

whose voice do you prefer?

I chose these singers because they were Freddie's friends and have both been linked to Queen.Which sings Queen's songs better?

George Micheal.
When they played the tribute, he was the only artist (in my opinion) to hit all the right notes.

(Plus I also love him from his Wham! days too)

Queen songs - George Michael

But in general I prefer Elton John. He just can't sing Queen songs.

For Queen songs, George Michael. He did an amazing job on Somebody To Love, although I think something was missing on These Are The Days Of Our Lives. I love Elton John's music, but his voice just wasn't suited for Bohemian Rhapsody or The Show Must Go On.

George Michael

Although I like Elton John and I didn't mind his "Show Must Go On" but George has so many other appealing qualities as well ... *sigh*

I don`t think George Michael could ever replace Freddie. George was awesome singing tunes which adapted to his voice - Somebody To Love, `39, Days Of Our Lives -. He could sing Dear Friends or Bijou very good but what about the other stuff? As a friend said, if he sings Hammer To Fall or The Hitman he stops in the middle of the song to cry; or the audience cries.

And that`s about the singing, let alone asking George to play piano like Freddie or to compose Bo Rhap.

John hated HS. Fred's fave singer was not PR. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.

At the tribute concert Michael was the best on the day, he had so much range, just like freddie. elton was terrible at the tribute, he cannot sing heavy rock songs, he was a little croaky. But i love elton's music, he is one of my favourite musicians.

Well, George Michael has the better voice, but I prefer Elton's. It's much more soothing and flowing, and he has more emotion.

ANd when I say emotion, I mean he has a wider range of emotion to his voice...GM seems to mostly to passion well, whereas I feel more listening to Elton.
