This time those daft twats from the Fathers 4 Justice campaign group have scaled The Big One rollercoaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach for a couple of hours.

I hope it was bloody cold up there.

At what point will they realise that this is NOT projecting the image of responsible parenting that I assume they want to get across to the people who reckon their kids, mysteriously, are better off with their mothers? I would imagine that some of the kids are also old enough to be REALLY embarrassed that not only is their dad scaling Buckingham Palace and rollercoasters, but that he's no Val Kilmer/Michael Keaton/George Clooney in a cheapo batsuit ...

Yes, it's me. I'm back.

I'm actually all for what they do, being in a similar situation myself, but i would not go to there extremes.

Fathers have been raked over by the courts for years, time for a change i say.

Here Here, Im sorry Mrs Taylor, I totally dissagree with you, Im with Barry all the way. My mate had the same problem, his ex got to keep the kid, my mate had no say, and she was mental. Just to note, The two guys that scaled the big one were experienced climbers, that was nothing to them.

I couldnt agree more with you. How irresponsable to break into buckingham palace knowing full well that we are on high terrorist alert. It wouldnt surprise me if one of them got hurt or arrested and then was banned from seeing their kids for life. Its sad because this cause needs some real attention...

I'm not saying I don't sympathise with their situation; my ex- (and therefore by association, me) was shafted by the CSA for maintenance for a child he hadn't seen since he was 2 (now 16 or thereabouts), all the time we were together. It started off at £15-a-week as agreed in his divorce settlement, then along came the CSA and for the rest of our nine years together he was paying upwards of £70-a-week on top of rent, council tax, pension, insurances, and they thought that it was acceptable because his hourly rate was good and none of those other outgoings are even considered. And by the way, they inform you of the change AFTER they've started taking it off you. The appeals process is a joke.

I just don't think climbing a 235ft rollercoaster/Buck House/crane by tower bridge is the right way to tackle the authorities you're responsible and try and persuade them to give you access to your child.

By the same token, I don't have the answer either :(

Im not saying its ok, I just meant that it didnt bother them climbing that height. But you have to hand it to them, they are getting noticed, making the papers, making the TV so maybe someone in the correct department regarding fathers and thier children might start to notice that something needs to be done. Ask Bob Geldof how he feels!
