A few of my favorites are...

She's Got A Way - Billy Joel
Love's Divine - Seal
One More Try - George Michael
Waiting For That Day/You Can't Always Get What You Want - George Michael
Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton
Layla (acoustic version) - Eric Clapton
Mama I'm Coming Home - Ozzy Osbourne
I Was Born To Love You (piano version)- Freddie Mercury

...I could think of a ton more if need be.

"Elton John and I became really good friends. I don't mean 'good friends' in that sense. I just mean we slept together." -Billy Joel

Try something from Whitesnake, the 1987 album. I don't remember the exact title of the ballad on that album, but I thought it was 'Is this love?'

As a matter of fact, try all kinds of ballads from rockbands.

congrats to your grandparents!! i wish people would stay together like that in this day in time. my grandparents celebrated their 50th a couple of years ago, and i also made a cd for the event. since they married in the 50's, i put a lot of oldies on it that i knew my grandmother liked...here's some of the songs i included:

This I Swear - The Skyliners
Earth Angel - The Penguins
Pledging My Love - Johnny Ace
Let it be me - The Everly Brothers
Smoke gets in your eyes - The Platters
I only have eyes for you - The Flamingos
This magic moment - The Drifters
You belong to me - The Duprees

ok...i decided to post the lyrics to one of the greatest love songs of all time...

THIS I SWEAR
The Skyliners

This I swear is true...
My love for you will last...
Till time itself is through...
Oh my darling, Oh my darling...
This I swear is true...
My heart is your's my dear..
There will be no one new...
Oh my darling, oh my darling..
This I swear is true...
I promise you that I...
Will never make you cry...
This love will be eternally..
Cross my heart and hope to die...
My lips will kiss, I vow..
Nobody else but you...
Oh my darling, oh my darling..
This I swear is true....
This I swear is true....
This I swear is true....
This I swear is true....

What about Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers? Seems like it would go over well. :)

My all time favorite (this isn't a slow dance song) love song (if you can call it love.. I know it's about making love..) is, "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" by Meatloaf.. as a matter of fact for 3 days now I have had that song stuck in my head. But that's nothing compared to how long, "The Prophet's Song" can get stuck in my head! :-P
