Following on from Action this Day and All The Young Dudes and inspired by the recent thread on instrumentals...

Listening to The Sounds of The Eye, I've got a whole new respect for Fight From The Inside and More of that Jazz.

When I was playing News of the World when I first got it in 1982, I remember my father coming in during Fight From The Inside and observing that it wasn't one of their best - I certainly didn't contradict him!

Now, I think without the rough vocals and dodgy lyrics, these songs sound so much better, and I'm finally giving them the respect they deserve.

What do YOU think?

i don't think Roger ever wrote a bad Queen song - he had to get through the stringent Freddie/brian vetting process
whereas occasionally Freedie and John could write bad ones
...and John certainly could - where freddie decided to work on poorer ones and they got through the net as a result
