What's the status on the studio versions of the 46664 tracks?

The studio albums were originally set for a June release, then pushed back to winter. Ever since Benidorm, I haven't heard anything about a future release (or about 46664 in general).

Also, I remember hearing that there was another Queen track on the discs besides Invincible Hope and The Call. What I don't remember was whether they were referring to Say It Aint True or another Queen track.

Wasn't Brian working on a song called 'Under African Skies'?

But I'm getting the feeling that this project is going by the wayside, unfortunately - I felt that Brian and Roger wrote some pretty good stuff for this project.

Although, for those of you who read Brian's soapbox, the band are now in discussions to release an Internet-only song. Interesting...

I was really looking forward to these tracks. They were at least new and not rehashed material.

Does anyone remember exactly how many tracks there were? Three or four?

Does anybody know if is it still possible to buy "Invincible Hope"? Love the song, and, since the album doesn't seem to be planned for release, I guess I'll have to stick with the internet version :/

But those are live versions, which do not include the entire song.

I doubt it. That's a Paul Simon song from 'Graceland'.

Brian (13 February 2004):

been working on a new idea for 46664 which I think I shall call "Under African Skies". I'll tell you the story of its birth some day. It's got a horde of African drummers on it - well, actually not REAL ones yet!!! (perhaps inspired by those great guys who came on stage with us in the 46664 concert for We Wil Rock You.)

And then he was corrected by a letter from a fan, and he sheepishly admitted that he wasn't aware of Paul Simon's song. So it may be released under a different name, if at all.

Now I want to listen to "Graceland".

You're right, Wilki, I meant the studio version.

Abrazo!
