Hello all. Were any of you (older!)zoners actually at any of the Earls court shows? If so what was it like?Could you see? was the sound good? it is such an enormous place after all and PA technology wasnt what it is today.I've never heard an audience bootleg from the shows but they were obviously having a few technical problems.I'm sorry to come across as a tech anorak, but I am interested to know!

i wasn't there....was only 13! and travelling to london at that age wasn't possible
as for the venue itself they used to have the Crufts dog show there, and (i think) the national motor show - both of these events have since moved to the NEC for the reasons that queen proably didn't do earls court again...it wasn't big enough! although by queen's standards it was a big venue (about 10k), they did Madison Sq Grdn that year which dwarfs earls court.

the best way to sum up earls court is with Brian's quote from THAT GIG "thank you for giving us the opportunity to do this ridiculous place"
