I just wanted to say that the "Artists'" that Queen had for their albums were "genuis" In my opinion they are some of the best of all time, if not the best. They were considerably lucky on them (and i say that because of the post about Brian's Curse"

For example: NOTW was ahead of it's time.
AKoM was fantasically cute. I think the artistry on ANATO & ADATR is wonderful, Innuendo as well and just all of them, along with the photography. Great job! Great job!
Cheers, love Queenette

NOTW? Ahead of it's time???

Odd thought, given that it's taken from a 1950 painting. Incidentally, there's a booko out with all Kelly Freas' pictures, including the original NOTW one.

and added to that the
20s musichall/cowerdesque sound of "My Melancholy Blues"
the 30s jazz in "Sleeping on the sidewalk"
the early 70s campness of "champions"
the 76 punk feel to "Sheer Heart Attack"
the retro feel to "It's Late"
and the ealry 70s calyso of "who needs you"
that leave practically nothing left "ahead of it's time"
