I just downloaded a song (on the hub) called Hammer To Fall- piano version.!?

Yes, that's right. It says it's Queen, but I'm dubious. It is a well recorded, competently played unaccompanied piano piece, faithful to the song. there is of course no singing to help identification out. :(

My question - has anyone *ever* heard of this? It sounds like some mad fan trying to pass off his own playing as a Queen track, but stranger things have surfaced. Anyone know of any demo of this song like this?

as part of his solo sets, Brian re-worked Hammer To Fall into a slower, piano based version before moving into the normal version for "he who grew up tall and proud" bit 'til the end....

I`ve heard it but I doubt it`s performed by the band. It must be a (wonderful) tribute by some pianist

John hated HS. Fred's fave singer was not PR. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.

You mean this one?

Also 'another world' and the 'furia/too much love will kill you' mix are done in this way. Certainly worth a listen!

Cheers,

Yeah, that's the one. Thanks Tim. It sounds lovely, but I just don't like it being misrepresented as Queen. I'll keep it, but I'll rename it as fan work.

There's some wild stuff on that website isn't there...
