I'm wondering if they're any good despite not being official.

Yes, and please don't waste your time/money with them. The "background music" on both is not Queen (or anything remotely having to do with their style of music!), and on Magic Moments tends to drown out the conversation of the people being interviewed. Some of the "unseen" pictures are lovely (some are outtakes of photo sessions) but the content on both is crappy. I wasn't impressed with either one really.

Bloody awful! I wasted my money on it, unfortunately. The only good things on it were the interviews with Tim Staffell, Peter Straker and old friends/bandmates from Ibex and Smile. As I stated before, though, very hard to listen to the audio because the annoyingly loud background music (not Queen as this was an unauthorised bio) drowns out the people talking about Queen!

I thought Becoming Queen was great - definitely better than MAgic Moments. The background music in that is awful but the interviews are OK.
Becoming Queen is a lot more interesting, altho' the bit about Brian May goes on too long I think.
I got it on e-bay but you can now get it at good record shops in Australia for about $14.99 - not bad...
