does freddie sing it fully live or is only the part after when he looked at roger really live on the dvd.it really looks like freddie doesn't actually sing the first bit

Just a guess: Did he possibly have a "repeat/echo" thing on the mike, like the old "Now I'm Here" thing?
(someone with technical terms, jump in, do you know what I mean?)

I wish I could see this for myself but a friend borrowed Wembley.
I agree with SirRalph
I do beleive that Freddie used what Brian once called an EchoPlex system for Impromptu.
I beleive Brian first put it to use on his guitar solos then as far as I can remember Freddie used it for the beginning of Now Im Here and The Prophet Song.
