How about our old pal Mr Tim Staffel as a bass player or vocalist? He plays bass, he sings, personal Freddie fans wouldn't have something against of Tim... And they can use 'Smile' name without any doubts about John and Fred...

Too late, I guess, but anyway it could be interesting and less of discussions...

YES!!!
Get rid of Paul Rodgers and let Tim in! He would be much more accepted that Paul, I'm sure!
And call it the Old Friends Tour!! :-)

About this, I've hit on almost the same thing, too...
Tim would be one of the most proper places, but imho, Tim would not do anymore with them as a professional...never...

As I understand that tour is not re-union of Queen, so Tim doesn't have to be as a part of the band 'till the end of the days...
