Queen were NOT Freddie Mercury's solo band! All four members collaborated in songwritting and three of the four sang AND Brian and Roger have ALSO had successful solo albums and tours. Listen Freddie made some choices and there were consiquences to them like all that we make and life. Other people can suffer from the ones we make but there is no reason why the other members have to take complete responsibility for Freddie's mistakes. So hail, hail! And long live Queen!

Sorry but I don't get your point...

What choices?
What consequences?
What mistakes?

I don't think this whole thing has got anything to do with things Freddie did or didn't do in the past. He died 13 years ago!!

As far as I'm concerned, Freddie wanted the rest of the band to keep on playing, he didn't want the band to die WITH him... So I think there's nothing bad in making his wish come true...

Possibly.
But I suppose he knew exactly that there was no way for them to go on like before. But I think he didn't really care that much, what mattered to him was that he had enough stuff to leave behind for the fans and that he could go on recording and singing till the end.

I don't know.. I won't start speculating on what Freddie wanted the others to do and what not...

How about the really deep thought that he was implying something with the song "The Show Must Go On"? I'd say it was at least a nod artistically for them to, um, go on...

In terms of choices, consequences, and mistakes I guess for some it has to be spelled out. The drugs and sleeping with random (and many) different people.

what does this have to do with the music??

and.. the show must go on was written by Brian and not by Freddie and it's been said that Freddie would have sung "anything Brian wanted him to sing".
