Wait and see - in cologne, when Roger was giving autograsphs to us fans waiting outside, he actually said to us that they are going to ask John and theres !!!!!
(if I heard it right, but some others confirmed it)
I was already wondering why none of the 20 other waiting fans in cologne had posted this before...
Now that's something to think about, isn't it ?

Just read this at the Notica Board at Queenonline.com... Jacky Smith, the head of the Official International Queen Fan Club, said the following:

As far as I am aware brian and Roger keep in touch with John, who I hear is happy in his retirement and happy with the musical!

If you believe anything that Jacky says......... I remember her telling me taht there was a box set due for release in 2000 and that there had been a 6-part Radio show comissioned by the BBC for broadcast......

Still, she gets her free weekend at Butlins every year for running a t-shirt selling servise.....

Do you mean Steve Barnacle, the one that plays on Roger's Electric Fire album?
So it's a friend of Steve that told you about that meeting, did I understand that right?

I think it would be wonderful if John played with them again. Heck, maybe they'd even finally do a few tracks from "TMITS" live. I think any audience would just love "Red Dirt" ...It would absolutely feel like a new Queen-song.

Well .. John MUST come
if it's not;
Paul = lead vocal / guitar
Brian = lead guitar / backing vocals / lead vocal
Roger = percussion / backing vocals / lead vocal
John = bass
Spike = keybord / guitar / backing vocals
and maybe Phil Collins for 'Radio Ga Ga' and 'I'm In Love ..' for the drums? hehe

then I wont go to one of the concerts :P

ow .. well .. maybe one :)

This would be an even bigger event than the Paul Rodgers announcement, at least for Queen fans. I've been frustrated over John's silence these past years. To have him come out of retirement would be MAJOR.

As far as I'm concerned, if John doesn't join, then you can't call it 'Queen'. Brian and Roger are only 50% of what Queen was, and to me, that's not enough to call it Queen, as opposed to "An evening of Queen music", with Brian May, Roger Taylor, and Paul Rogers.

The band should be a band, not a 'show'. No backup singers, or extra musicians, except for Spike to handle the keys.

That's the thing. They will probably be backing singers and:
Jamie Moses - Playing Rythm Guitar
Maybe even another drummer?
I would prefer the only auxillary musicians to be a bass player (if john doesn't show) & Spike (Obviously)

believe me people,
this;
Paul = lead vocal / guitar
Brian = lead guitar / backing vocals / lead vocal
Roger = percussion / backing vocals / lead vocal
John = bass
Spike = keybord / guitar / backing vocals
would be enough .. no backing vocals, or dancers or other crap :)

Spem Bri's mail-box with this. Let's all send the man 20 e-mails with this line-up. hehe

Why "should" they bother with Spike? he's a pain in the ass sound-wise because the keys tend to be mixed far too high. Listen to anything post '81 and the keys are almost as prominent as Fred's voice - certainly mixed above Brian.

Ideally, it'd just be a 4-piece, but the band will do what they are told by the promoter and record company.
