just because im a newbie, is there any reason for those smart-ass comments.

Ive been using google for 5 years. and I have done some web searchs, however they do prove inconclusive.

I just assumed, the most knowledgeable people to ask, would be you lot as you are queen fans

anyway, your reaction. If your friend were to ask you a question, you wouldnt go, you havent heard of an encyclopedia have you?

jeez, if you didnt want to see my thread. you never needed to read it.

I find that true of a lot of the people around here (not you, of course).

There's no big problem in such kind of questions - and you may ask them whenever you want, but you just have to check some previous topics, if you don't want to search over google or something else. Don't be lazy to check some good threads on this notice board! It's not so hard.

And answering your question - there was a huge topic about the date of recording session of Mother Love and most sourses says it was at Autumn 1991, but - who knows...

According to David Richards, he was recording Mother Love with Freddie 12 days before he died...that's pretty amazing that Fred was singing until then.

I'm wondering though...how much stuff was recorded? As It Began mentions that Fred called the band back to the studio in January......I suppose that it's possible that the only 3 things they worked on from January to November were Mother Love, You Don't Fool Me, and then later in the year, A Winter's Tale....

Maybe there's ideas for other songs that didn't end up with final vocals. I guess we'll find out if the boxsets ever appear.

I'm not sure... I'm really not sure... I ain't David Richards of course, but as I remember Freddie couldn't leave his house in last two weeks...

What is amazing is the sheer lush power of Freddies voice from those final sessions
He had this magical reserve bag of energy & power that in light of how ill he was by then seems almost supernatural

Of course he knew that it would be the last time he ever sang on record and this must have been heartbreaking for him and the band but also it would seem to have driven him towards delivering that sort of performance
The man truly had massive balls.

Remember that according to The Untold Story, Fred took himself off medication. I'd say he sang, flew home, and spent 11 days unmedicated.
Remember, even the healthiest person could die in 10 days of a bad infection if it's untreated.

That's the last video, though. bigc and everyone else were talking about the recordings after Innuendo, for Made In Heaven.

Actually, the last Queen session was on May or June....Freddie's vocals was recorded for "Mother Love". A winter tale was recorded in the end of 1990, I know that. The sources are taken from "Champions of the world", David Richard talked about their last studio session while "Mother love" was playing, and he showed some shits of papers with lyrics and chords. On the bottom of the page was written May 9, '91

No, there wasn't only the lyrics....that was a studio session... Freddie's health was terrible from june - novebmer, and I doubt that he worked in the studio in that period of time... In october Freddie visited Montreux for the last time, but nowhere said that he was in the studio...So, I think the last Queen studio session was from January to May 1991, and in June they filmed "...days of our lives"...and that's it. But very interesting, are there any other songs from the last session?
