In my opinion it is. I simply love this song. And am I the only one that loves the songs were Brian May and Roger Taylor shares the vocals? For example Let me live and NOBY. Great stuff.

Request for Roger and Brian: Make an album together!

No One But You is also one of my favourite songs, Let me live too. Mother Love is also a wonderful song.

I love when Brian and Roger share the vocals, especially when Freddie's added in. I wish they'd done more songs like Let Me Live. I'm not sure if No One But You is one of the best, but it's definitely a great song and a fitting tribute to those who died before their time.

Nope. To me it's morbid, sappy, formulaic, and completely unnecessary, especially given the Made In Heaven album (which preceded it). Glad you like it, though... I've honestly felt rather guilty about my strong feelings of indifference to this track by my lifelong favorite band...

no-one but you is one of my favourite song of all time. i think it has excellent lyrics, vocals and music, which is very rare to find in a song. the thing that makes it so good to me is that the lyrics are so meaningful without being too obvious. i especially like the references to freddie like
Forever paying every due
and
I guess we'll never understand
The sense of your leaving
Was in the way it was planned?

I'm sorry, but I can't agree with you. It's just my opinion, but I also feel indifferent to No-one, and I hate Let Me Live. These tracks are pompous and excessive, without the grace of their previous majestic songs.

The piano is so beautiful. And the bittersweet bridges are great!

Fuck no, is it.

I pretty much agree with everything GUMP said (except for the "glad you like it part" - I pity anyone that rates this song, for they lack taste and a decent pair of ears).

Probably my least favourite "Queen" song ever.

it sounds too contrived

like almost many Brian ballads - very rigid in formula, and gushing with overblown sentiment

let's face it - if Brian had written it about anyone else then it probably wouldn't get so much respect

Just curious, why did they include this in Queen Rocks?

I think it was a timing thing - I'm assuming they reassembled post-MIH (1995-96) and recorded this one track (possibly scraps of more, who knows?). Looking for a way to market it, they seized on including in on "Rocks" (1997), very likely as a sure-fire way to get all us diehards to shell out the cash for ONE NEW SONG with 17 B-sides at full CD price! OK, I'm being slightly harsh, they're all bona-fide classics ('cept for Put Out The Fire), but they are recycled... I mean, most of us have had these tracks for eons.

"Overblown with sentiment" is on the money, too. I was pretty wiped out by Freddie's death; I know the band was, as well. If it provided catharsis for the remaining three, or even just Brian, I say let them have it... but that doesn't change my opinion of the song.

It's a fitting song to end Queen. An emotional tribute for a friend by friends. I also like the sharing of lead vocals (one of my favorites being Fun It). Let Me Live was a perfect way for each singing member to have the spotlight. No One But You, however, is generally not a great song IMO.

It is a amazing song. But I think most of their last songs were better than the rest. Maybe because of the extra meaning. NOBY is my number 1 Queen song.

I love this song, and played it a lot when my cousin died. I want it played at my funeral one day.
