First of all - happy new year to you all! I wish 2005 will bring happiness and success to you and your families!

Well, my question is: on the sleeve of the Hollywood Records' reissue of 'The Miracle' album written the following lines: "...The Invisible Man (12" Version), Scandal (12" Mix)..." - so what's the difference between '12" version' and '12" Mix' in this particular case?

Well the 12" version is of The Invisible Man, and the 12" mix is of Scandal.

Happy to help...

there are no differences. It depends on how you want to call them. However, if the track is mixed totally diff than you might call it an Extended Mix. And when it's just a longer version than.. well.. you get the point
I would say that Radio Ga Ga has an Extended Version and Breakthru an Extended Mix

Invisible Man extended version=bollocks

I wish the UK release had put Scandal 12" on it

exactly Joe. the start of the invisible man extended mix, sounds like someones computers dying.

whereas the scandal extended mix, it adds more to the power of the song, and gives it a more dance feel, which is the overall intention of the track, or at least, in my eyes, its best qualities. Aside from the ever strong mercury vocals

ive been listening to it constantly on my pc in about the last week, since I downloaded it. Id have actually preferred the extended mix to be the actual album version, seeing as the single only got to 25 and missed off greatest hits 2, would have been nicer to get a stronger one on The Miracle

ah well:(

I have 2 agree the scandal 12" version should have been on the uk version of the miracle has it is by far a much better song and it has all the hallmarks of a great queen song, brilliant vocals by freddie, and outstanding guitar playing from mr may.

In my opinion it's one of my all time faves as for invisible man12" version i would rate it as their worst mix of a song and a crap end to a otherwise great album

Happy new year to all queenzoners.

Bizon, question was not about difference of these tracks - I already know it without QueenVault, I asked why HR called one extended version as '12" mix' and another one as '12" version'! Why they both can't be mixes or versions?
