Yes, the stupid questions such as "Is Brian's hair naturally curly?", and "Do you like Freddie's mustache?" are a bit much, but if a new member has an interesting question then they have the right to post it. Who really cares if the topic's been covered before. The forum is for all Queen fans, not just the elite who have to see the band a 100 times. I for one, may be relatively new to the site, but am far from a new Queen fan.

Is that why you posted another one "newbie crap"?

Word 'newbie' uses here for recent weeks more often than 'Queen' or 'Paul'!

There should be a Queen test before entering this board.

Not true. He uses the word 'newbie only once and states the name Queen and the names of it's members more often! ;)

Queen, Queen Queen, John, John, Brian, Brian, Roger, Roger, Freddie, Freddie.

YEAH! I finally got what people mean when they ask if the Freddie man was the postman or the letterbox...! I were always thinking that it really had something related with letters! And that's not my fault... I'm just a pure and innocent child, how could I imagine THAT when people are talking about letterboxes and postmen, specially in a site about a rock band. :-S

Now we've corrupted you, HeM! ;)

Not to sound completely stupid, but last time the whole postman/letterbox thing was brought up, I asked what they meant, and no one would tell me...and I still don't get it! What on earth are you guys talking about?

A Queen test is an incredibly stupid idea.

Why concoct an elitest exam to make sure new posters adhere to your own standards of "true fandom" when you can simply ignore idiotic posts? I suppose elitism is simpler than self-control...

I guess because your on this thing 24-7 posting thousands of messages that makes you special and a leading expert on this site and Queen? Well your full of shit. How pathetic is it to feel superior to others because you visit a site and contribute postings to it more than others. Did it ever occur to you that some of us would rather not post alot and just sit back and comment and laugh to ourselves privately about some of the ignorant and over the top things you ones that post alot say?? There must not be much success in one's life when you can brag of your superiority over another on a website.....so in closing I could careless if I post 10 or 1,000 messages I'm no better than anybody else or have the right to call another a newbie and neither do you. There's room for everybody here, not just yourselves because your a fucking no it all...........Peace

The reason I become annoyed with newbies and some rather redundant posts is because well.....I just stated it. Redundant posts. Who likes them?
I don't.
And not many others do either.

Call me mean, call me rude.
Whatever. It's all been said before.
But newbies just need to know that sometimes, their posts are typical things that cause hatred towards them. Doesn't make them any less of a fan, nor does it make us any less of one to tell them what is what.
And it doesn't go for all newbies either, but just those that do not know the art of the google search, or who post ridiculous things that only a stalker fan would post.
I've tried saying things politely, and it didnt' seem to work. so now, I just lay it straight.

I don't see it as mean.
I see it as helping them so they don't say something like that again.
And again.
And again. Get what I mean?
Cheers

well well well this is rather good! a queen test would be good in some ways tho not in others, lets say all people joining this "forum" should have a basic knowledge of the band that should be standard.
but of course there are people who genuinly love the band and want to learn from others who have loved them for .well life! (like me)
i appreciate both arguments
