Hi all,
What's the betting that many of the, shall we say, 'less critical' among us will now be praising Paul Rogers's talents to the skies, regardless of the fact that most of them will, at best, have only heard 'Alright Now' in the past.
Me? I don't like Free and am distinctly unenthusiastic about the prospects of Queen touring again, with PR, Robbie, George or even just with themselves handling vocal duties...and this is NOT due to thinking 'Queen can't be Queen without Freddie': after all, 'Sleeping on the Sidewalk' and 'Fight From The Inside' are Queen songs!
If it were being done for genuine reasons (i.e. Brian and Roger had written and recorded an album with PR), then I'd grudgingly accept it, but it seems that this is just a larger scale equivalent of all these 70's/80's tours that include groups with 1-2 surviving original members. I mean, they already have the bl**dy musical to keep the old songs alive....
Maybe something good will come out of this, and my cynicism will prove to be unfounded, but somehow I can't help but be reminded of Paul McCartney's infamous 'you can't reheat a souffle' comment on a possible Beatles reunion....

If you go into the endeavor expecting not to like it, then you've already made up your mind. That's just as Stepfordy as people approaching the project from the standpoint of wanting to be entertained and to have a good time. Different sides of the same ideology. Try not to strain your arm while patting yourself on the back for having better taste than everybody who's going to go see the tour and have a terrific time :-)

Blow it out your ass.
