Our old pal Elton is playing outdoor stadium gigs towards the end of May (Including the home of Reading FC i am extremely pleased to report). Who thinks it would be fabulous idea if our boys were given a support slot in this outdoor stadium situation.

Queen probably couldn't play such venues at the moment and he couldn't possibly wish for a more popular and professional warm up act.

The only potential problem i can envisage is that even the almighty Mr John might worry that he'd be out-performed and in saying this, i mean no disrespect.

Just a thought.

Bye Bye.

Queen would never "lower" themselves to the status of a opening act...not even for their Ol' Mate Elton.

Too much of a ego issue i think...Brian and Roger would'nt do it. They could perform WITH Elton...but i can't see them reducing themselves to a support act.

Those days are FAR behind them.

Nice thought though....

Yeah i know what you mean and sadly, i have to agree with you.

Without wishing to sound over-pompous on this subject, playing support really is beneath them. It's just that i can't see any prospect of large stadium type concerts in the near future.

Anyway, who cares? Smaller venues are much more 'personal' and we won't be needing a large refracting telescope to see the stage.

Exactly.

If they are smart, they will stay away from the big barns and play smaller, more intimate venues.

I personaly can't see them playing places like Wembley and the like now...no way.

They will play places that they both have played before, or they will play similar sized venues.

I'm glad the dates have FINALLY been announced..looking forward to what UK dates will be added later in the year!
