Hi guys, as we in the UK await the announcement of tour dates, can our European friends comment on how the demand seems to be for the venues that have been confirmed. Have any of them sold out ?

Well both oeticket.com and stadthalle.com have sold out a vast majority of their tickets for the Vienna gig so I suppose this particular concert should be successful. Although I'm sure there are more places where the Vienna tickets might be available.

The reason I ask is that I have a theory about the way they have handled things so far. I think they have announced dates in Europe and made tickets available in order to guage demand before booking any halls in the uk. Now they can see what sort of demand there is, they can work out whether they need to book theatres or arenas. So whilst it has been irritating for a lot of people getting tour dates in a few at a time, it's been giving the guys valuable information about demand.

Of course you are right in your theory. That's just how it works with any major act. But so far, and I am amazed realy, there are still lots of tickets for all the early announced tourdates (don't know about Vienna) but especially Paris has still a load of tickets. All that's left at any of the gigs is just seated though! (One exception once again: German travelpackages to Paris still offer standingplaces)

It seems that you can still go onto the various websites and book tickets so no "sell outs" as yet and that's with smaller venues. It would be a travesty for the name Queen to be playing at half empty venues.
Are the European dates advertised in the press or on posters?

Good question...i was wondering this myself.

Is the sale of these tickets for the EU gigs only known to mostly us online, or are they being promoting in the press?

Do most of the folks who know about these tickets only know about them even exsisting/being availible because they are online?

If so...this would explain a lot...explain why their are no sell outs as of yet.
