He's the right guy for the job!! He sounds just like Brian and Fred put together..

This guy did awesome job in his tribute album to queen a year ago. So toss Paul out and bring Valensia in..

Such a heartbreaking sensitive and witty person.. How can he help himself if he loves so much queen and freddie that his voice has shaped to match them both..

Lets give tha man a chance :)

I know Valensia would love to work with B+R and I know he has offered himself to help with an album or tour - but they're just not comfortable working with someone that unknown I think.

My god, Valensia is a terrible singer!

Who needs Valensia when we already have The Darkness.

Enough with these Queen wannabes. Rock bands should be original, instead of making carbon copies of someone else's work.

Besides, you never saw Queen ripping-off Jimmy Hendrix's work.

The problem with Valensia is that he truly is a carbon copy of Queen at times. Some of his "original" songs actually sound like complete rip-offs.

I'm sure it would be interesting to try an experimental session with Bri and Rog, but I couldn't really see it working out.

Peace,
Adam.

I saw Valensia at the last Dutch convention.
It was a surprise but also a bit of a let down.
He was very nervous and did not perform as good as I expected, having some of his cd's.
Afterwards I heard he was ill that day, I believe.

No I think his Queen tribute is really good, so is his solowork, but he's not the right guy to go on tour.

Besides there has to be chemistry between Brian, Roger and whoever plays with them. And with Paul Rodgers there is, so it seems.

I saw Brian doing "One Rainy Wish" once... Does that count? Or Roger's Foxy Lady?

There's a difference between covering someone else's material, and ripping-off someone else work by stealing their melodies, riffs, beats, and lyrics and crediting them as your own.

The closest that I've seen as to Queen ripping-off someone, was on the live performances of 'We Will Rock You' (more particularly the one at Wembley '86).
If you listen carefully, the guitar riff that Brian plays before Freddie starts singing is very similar to the riff of Hendrix's 'Foxy Lady'.

THat's true... but wasn't that intentional? I mean, Hendrix was admired by those guys...

I think it was intentional, but you can't really blame them. It's just a riff.

Besides, Brian has mentioned that many artist have used the 'We Will Rock You' beat, but very few of them have actually asked for the permission to use it.

I guess Brian doesn't mind too much that his most famous beat has become public domain.
