This Saturday, Kids WB! (on the KTLA network) are premiering the 7th Pokemon movie "Destiny Deoxys", at 10AM Eastern time. There will likely be two hours of special bonus features before the showing.

Just thought I'd remind ya guys :)

I remember when I used to collect Pokemon cards. My mum bought me a pack cos she bought my little bro something else (and when you are kids things MUST be even or the results are usually war) and I was bummed out cos I was getting all tripples and doubles of the cards I already had. I planned on tricking my mum and yelling, "Look! I got Charizard!!!" and then "Just kidding!" But coincidentally, I actually got Charizard right when I was planning on doing it and I started to freak out and dance around and yell, "MOM I GOT CHARIZARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Now years later, I have been trying to sell my cards but they are not worth a lot anymore. :-/ I don't think I'll ever forget that, though. :-)

My little boy used to love Pokemon, but now he is more into Yu-Gi-Oh and spends hours playing with his deck of cards.

I too collected Pokemon cards..collected, you might notice. I had no idea on how to play the fucking game. Sort of like Magic: The Gathering I can imagine. I still have a starter pack unopened. I can imagine as the years go by that will increase in value.

I've seen many parents who have raised their kids to like a certain sports team, but their kids end up rooting for another team as they grow up.

The truth is that you can't decide what your kids will like or dislike. Enforcing it is eventually going to make it worse. You could influence it, but keeping a distance is the best way to let your kids pick what you want.

Just look at the Cheney's and her daughter.

I remember when they made Pokemon. It was a good game. Then there was a crappy television series, ridiculous movies, more merchandise than Kiss could even imagine, some more games, and games which evolved from those games. Oh well, I guess I could just sit at home playing Pokemon Blue Version by myself. But since I'm 17 I think I'll just find something else to do.

I liked Pokemon when I was little, but only the show. I didn't understand what to do with the cards.

Saw the movie yesterday.

It was actually pretty good, though not necessarily the best one out of them all (the 2nd, 5th (Jap. version) and 6th movies were better IMO).

What pissed me off was that Kids WB! put in commercials every 10 minutes! And also, I just found out there were a few cuts from the TV broadcast, which would explain a certain incident that's spoken about in the movie having happened earlier, but not actually shown!

Oh well, hopefully the DVD will most likely restore the cut scenes (or at least most of them). The DVD cover does boast "never-before-seen footage" being on the DVD. Shame it doesn't come out till Feb. 15th (or 16th - I'm not sure now)!

With a lot of shame I have to admit that once in a while I used to watch Pokemon. Somehow it was entertaining for a while because I liked Pikachu, but then you realized that pretty much all the shows had the same plot...

- Ash enlists on a Pokemon tournament
- Team rocket kidnaps Pikachu
- Ash, Misty, and Brock rescue Pikachu
- Team rocket is blasting off again!
- Ash and Pikachu win the tournament.

I still find Pokemon a lot more entertaining than shit cartoons like 'Scooby Doo', which had the exact same plot on every single episode and the only thing that made worth watching it was Daphne.
Besides, we all know that there was a share of all kinds of illegal substances going on in the back of that hippie van. Most of them were all hidden inside those Scooby snacks.

Why was 'Scooby Doo' successful, has to be the biggest mystery of all.

I never really knew how to play the card game as well..My bro and I sorta made up our own rules of how we thought it was supposed to be played. But I was good at trading with the neighbors. I got myself an Alakazam with one of them ;-).
