The O.C. is nothing but recycled 90210 scripts but with different character names.

90210 was better because at least Luke Perry was the only one there who could truly act, but on the O.C. absolutely no one can act for crap.

I like it. I'm not a huge fan, but I watch it fairly often, cause my little sister's really into it.
I don't really like Marissa either, but I like Lindsay (I think that's her name?), Kirsten, and Seth a lot.

I don't like this O.C, but has anyone watched the one on MTV? It's called Laguna Beach: The Real O.C.? I watched every episode of this. Supposedly it was real. It was filmed in Laguna Beach over a six month period. It was like 90210 but the acting was so much better. I guess bc it wasn't "acting" if it was real.

I liked the show, I guess I'm a dork!!! I loved 90210 though. My friends and I had 90210 nights. We all were the same age as the characters on 90210 so we thought we were really cool!!

I always found it hilarious how on these teen dramas of "pretty rich white kids with problems" (remember the MadTV spoof) the actors are always 10 or 15 years older than the characters they portray.

Lisser I loved 90210 as well. Back in school that was the highlight of the week haha! Me and my friends would argue over which character we were, I would be Brenda back then, and nobody wanted to be Andrea! And I watched most of the Laguna Beach episodes too,(a bunch of little bitches) I can't help it, I get addicted to those kinds of shows!

I know!! I hate Krista though on Laguna Beach!! She is a BEEEATCH!! I want Lauren to be with Steven. I think Steven is a dweeb but I like Lauren a lot so I want her to get what she wants.

They are supposed to be doing a follow up on the show soon. I also saw in some magazine that Krista is dating some movie star so I guess she and Steven aren't together anymore.

Gawd...am I really 29???? LOL!

LOL I know what you mean Lisser! I'm 25 but I really don't feel like it. The one thing that just irritates me the most about those kids is how SPOILED they are! I couldn't imagine growing up like that and getting any and everything you want.

I think the O.C. is one of those shows that you enjoy as a teenager, but as you grow up you realize that it's damn awful.
90210 was a decent show while they were in high school, then it jumped the shark.

But I'll still take the O.C. over any of those crappy reality shows. More particularly shows about spoiled rich kids who have too much of their parents money, and so little inside their heads.

I remember watching almost half an hour with my girlfriend and her sister (who loves that show). Then we wondered why we wasted so much time watching it. The whole concept of spoiled rich kids dramas has become way too cliche and boring.

To put it in the words of Chris Rock, what do rich white kids have to worry about to even end up thinking about committing suicide? How come you see more rich kids killing themselves than poor kids. This is a list that Chris Rock made of problems these kids have:

POOR KIDS
- I have no father
- We live in the ghetto
- We are on welfare
- My mother is 10 years older than me

RICH KIDS
- My car is a Nova
- My lips are chapped
- Wham is breaking up.

This is why I wonder why a show like 90210 lasted 10 years! 10 years from which only 4 the show was actually entertaining. I guess teens have a thing about looking up to those who have more money than them.

I'm guilty of watching Desperate Housewives. And enjoying it. I can't say I ever watched 90210, The O.C or Party of Five. I did however watch Pretty Rich Kids with Problems on MadTV and found it violently funny.
