Ok so is it Brian's version or Queen's version that does it for you? Mine is Brian's because I think he puts more into it. Maybe it means more to him. And I like the arrangement better on his version.

Freddie`s is "too" professional for the tune of the song imo. It`s like putting a semi-quaver sweep picking fast scale as intro to CLTCL, sometimes less is more.

John hated HS. Fred's fave singer was not PR. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.

And the guitarsolo in the Queen version sucks!

I love his voice in the song - but it ain't right. Needs a more delicate touch. How can I put this... the lyrics and the roughness of his voice seem a bit mismatched. I dunno.

Brian- his verion is subtle
Queen's is a bit corny, I don't know... Too nice, too melodramatic, to smooth...

Brian has the agonising sound in his voice as though he deeply believes that too much love will kill you.

Can't decide between the two... although would have loved a live version by Freddie.

Don't feel alone, I like it better, too.
I like Brian's as well,
but the power in the Queen version is fantastic.
I can see how some think it is "inappropriate", though.

The Queen version is better, it's a modern song, with a rock arrangement. Brian's version is just more personal. And Freddie is not "too profesional" he has just a powerful and better voice.

Adam you're not alone ;)

Both are great but Queen's version really does it for me

I like Brian's version but it's Freddie singing it that does it for me. His voice is more powerful and when it comes to the higher notes Freddie could do it better than Brian. It's one of my favourite songs anyway and Brian singing it is really beautiful but Freddie's version almost gives me chills..

Definitly Queen's version.
It has "the" Queen sound.
Freddie in all his vocal glory , Brian keeps it cool and not too many guitar overdubs , John and Roger - perfect rhythem section!
And there you have it!

queen's version is much better simply because of freddie's voice, sounds great. brians voice was very weak in my opinion. the only thing i like in the brian version is the guitar solo, otherwise brians voice makes me cring.

i should say at times makes me cring, but times not so bad. 'long away' he sounds good and also 'another world', but at times he struggles big time. the way i see it is brian is actully good at singing ballads like 'tmlwky' but hard rock style i simply don't like way he sings them. to much love he sounds good in spots and others not so bad, so i agree mabe i overstated, but freds voice simply sounds great in 'to much love' and every other song i heard him sing, including the hated 'dilila'.

Queen's version definitely !

1 great difference between the 2 - Freddie's voice ! Its brilliant. He has a strong and powerful voice, which is very emotional in this song. For Brian its "acting", but for Freddie it was personal, he was actually dying when he sang it - and this can be seen. Brian overacts imo in this song. Freddie is very emotional, yet strong - his voice in the song expresses that.

Not to down nobody but comparing Freddie's vocals to Brian's is absolutley ridiculous. I mean fuck sake, the song is about Freddie so having Freddie singing about his own demise was the best route in my book................Peace

Brian's definitely. The live version is also better than the studio one. The build up to the guitar "breakdown" makes the song.

I love both versions, but I think Brian's is better. Freddie's voice always sounds amazing, but Brian adds extra feeling, since his emotions inspired him in the first place, but it makes the song sound more sincere.
