Maybe it's a stupid question, but I was wondering why Queen isn't playing in de Kuip, or in the Amsterdam Arena? I think they could easily have filled a stadium, lots of fans couldn't get a ticket, which is a shame. There are a lot of people who wanted to see Queen. I can't think of any reasons why they aren't playing in a stadium. I have been very lucky, as a member of the Queen fanclub, I could get tickets for Ahoy. I'm very delighted, I think the Dutch Queenfanclub, did a lot of hard work.

Brian already appologised for this. In all countries people are disappointed. They could not get tickets because the band places relatively small venues. The only reason for that is that none of Queen expected demand to be so high as it turned out.
There are no possibilities to do extra gigs for now, but they are coming back for additional dates.

I don't know too much about the music business, but isn't it the promoters who suggest the venues based, presumably, on how many tickets will go?

If Queen were to say 'We want to play De Kuip' but the local promoters didn't think it would sell out, they wouldn't get involved.

Do any of you guys know more about how this works?

And it has something to do with the weather... You can't play in the Kuip in April... Well, the ArenA and the Gelredome are covered so those were possibilities.

As said before, the main reason is the underestimation of the demand for tickets, especially in the UK, Germany and in Holland. But there's a huge chance that there will be a couple of stadium concerts in the summer.

Has anyone read this??

You can come to Sweden. There's plenty of tickets left here...
