Just wondering i've just fininshed watching hyde park again on dvd and i suddenly thought they played the TYMD intro at the opening of the show,i was just wondering is the first time it was played as the gig was september 17th or 18th 1976 and ADATR wasn't released until december.

So in theory that was the first airing of it am i right? and if that's the case then "you take my breath away" also premiered on the same night.

I hope one day there's a outtake or another version of that that brian done cause i think it's a fantastic piece of work.

They premiered all the stuff from Races that night didn't they? Not as in all the songs, but it was all the first airing of the songs.

Nope- they played three gigs before with some ADATR tracks- BEFORE Hyde Park and BEFOREan album release- 2 nights in Edinburhg and one in Cardiff-
Hyde Park was 18 of September, two nights in Edinburgh- 1st and 2nd of September, Cardiff- 10-th. Hyde Park was the fourth time they played those songs...
you guys should check Martin's site more often... ;)

And they didn`t even play TYMD at Hyde Park, it was a shorter gig so they didn`t play some songs that they include in the rest of the mini-tour, like Now I`m Here, Doin` All Right, Lazing and this one.

John hated HS. Fred's fave singer was not PR. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.

Yes but i meant just the intro of tymd the very start of it they played a shorter gig because the show was hampered with problems and they were overrun isn't that right, that's why there's no encore at hyde park.

Thank you for the added info on earlier shows the songs were played at very interesting.

Sorry to be a smartass... but that's not the intro from TYMD but rather from the Day at the Races album... just as well as it is not the fade-out of Teo Torriate but of the whole album. ;)

...And the show as it were on the night, was as intended up to the point of ending. No change in songs or orders because they had the intention to come back on stage for the encores but were refused last minute by the organisation. They thought it was enough and neede some peace and quiet.
