I've been following the forum for quite some time now, and this is my first time writing...

Yesterday, I was listening to the concert at Hammersmith Odeon 1975, and I was (again!) blown away by the sheer power of the performance.

But one song, in my opinion, stood out above the rest. The way Freddie sang "In the Lap of the Gods.. .Revisited" is simply mind-blowing! The way he subtly changed the melody and played with it. But the part that really got me, and that brought tears to my eyes, was the second part of the song (No beginning there's no ending...). Freddie sang it with such power and emotions that I couldn't help but shed a tear... It was so beautiful!

Haven't seen the Rainbow, so obviously can't comment on it. But, if it's better than Hammersmith... then, gosh, would want to see/hear that!

The version at the Rainbow is pure magic. It is by far my favorite Queen moment.

Now, you make me salivating for the Rainbow concert... I know I should get it...

Btw, I think my love for this song is probably due to overexposure to Sheer Heart Attack album. That is the album I think I listened to most (Jazz too!). I won't try to offend anyone by suggesting that SHA is better than ANATO, but I spent far more time listening the former (though, when I think of it, I've spent entirety listening to ANATO too).

As I'm writing this, The Hammersmith concert is playing :)

The reason Freddie is covered in smoke and is just a shadow is so you cant see his lips move because the vocal is completely overdubbed.
Hate watching the Rainbow, I always feel Im being taken for a mug.

I love you for your mind baby give me your body.

I don't know if we can say that lead vocals were done in the studio. Some harmonies seemed to been tampered with, but I think that's where it ends.
