The two main contributors to this for me are Brian May obviously and Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Both can craft great solo's that make the hairs stand on the back of your neck. For Brian it has to be the 2 solo's in "show must go on" and for rocking its "I want it all". Gilmour is excellent also with "Comfortably Numb" and "High Hopes". What to others think ? ?

I agree with you on that one on "who wants to live forever" at the end with Brians trademark raising arm. Im also very partial to my Guns N Roses especially the array of solo's in November Rain absolute class guitarist and a big May fan i believe. Went to see him with his new band still a legend.

The lead singer is Scott Weiland, he uses an odd tactic of singing through a megafone absolute nutcase. They still play the odd GnR song aswell. Hopefully they can help bring rock back

How can any talk about great guitar solos without talking about the ALMIGHTY terror twins - Steve Clark and Phil Collen. Armageddon It, Hysteria, Switch 625 and THE best song EVER - Photograph all prove who were the best.
