I will be attending the Dutch gig on april 26nd. By that time the show has been on te road for more than a month and all information about the show (tracklist, different arrangements to old songs, encores, etc.) will be widely spread. I'm sure also some recordings will be available for download or trade.

I'm wondering now: Do I wanna read all about it and listen to (part of) the shows before I go to see it myself? How good can any possible surprise be, when you already know what's going to happen?

When I went to Brian's concert in Groningen (1998) I was amazed by the slow/fast version of Hammer To Fall, simply because it was totally new for me. For the same reason the unexpected appearance of T.E. Conway was very enjoyable.

Off course I'll be getting my hands on everything I can as soon as the tour starts, but I wonder if I should wait till I experienced the show myself.

That's why I'm going six days earlier to Antwerpen.

But you have a point.
We're ancious to see the gig and we want surprises.

I don't think I can ignore the internet that long...

You two guys are luckier than me because you're going to earlier shows...I'm going to Cardiff on the final UK part of the tour.

I want to know the show opener as well as remain totally oblivious to the surprises they will play. However I'll find it difficult to resist the temptation of searching on the Internet.

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place...want to know some of the set while not wanting to know other surprises. I probably have some idea of the encores anyway without being told...WWRY, WATC and Allright Now along with other songs they will play.

Posting of the set list is a certaintly IMHO particularly after Brixton with fans wanting to be the first to review the gig. It's a matter of burying your head in the sand and staying away from Queenzone and other boards I guess if you want to be totally surprised.

We all of us deeply apologise for this god forsaken shit heap of a building...but we will make it rock.

My thoughts exactly! First one to see for me will be Manchester and till than... Well, I guess I'll know everything already... Good or bad...? Will I want to wait? Or will I want to listen to some boots as soon as they appear? Dunno!!!!!

Difficult question. I'd probably want to know most of the setlist, concert length etc. but not details/surprises/effects etc.

Oh well... I'll try to be in Brixton so I won't have to solve this question :)

personally i don't want to know "surprises" or even the setlist, i just want to know the formation of the band, which i know, and the name of support band if there will be one.

I've been asking myself the same question...I want to be totally suprised and do not want to know the setlist. But at the other hand I will be very curious on what it'll be. Maybe I will bury my head and not check internet that many times...
But do you think that the setlist will be the same on EVERY show, or will there be a difference in some songs?
