Has anyone else seen this movie? I rented it last week after figuring out that the Blockbuster people don't care whether I'm seventeen, and it became my favorite movie almost immediately. I was blown away. I had to sit down and recover for at least fifteen minutes after seeing it.

This should be required viewing in all high school health classes. It's worth poisoning our minds with a couple of lame sex scenes to get this message across. Drugs are bad...gotcha!

Opinions on the movie? (Please refrain from giving me your opinions on Pi, which was also a masterpiece, but I'm not trying to discuss it.) Also opinions on above proposal? I am seriously considering trying to get my school administration to let me show RFAD in an on campus forum. It's worth a blacklist.

I've heard it was extremely disturbing, but nonetheless an excellent film.

On Imdb.com it's among the top 250 films ever, so I might rent it soon.

Great movie..disturbing and gross, esp when his arm rots and turns blue. Have to Say Jared Leto is such a babe he is my #2 pin up (Freddie being #1 of course)I've had the pleasure of saying hi to him in the flesh last year when he was sitting sketching pictures in temple bar square in dublin.I used to have a room full of posters of the 2 of them in my teens. Does anyone else remember "my so called life" that he stared in years ago was mt Fav show, oh the memories...

Definitely ain't something you'd watch to brighten your day. Seeing Ellen Burstyn (who knocked her role out of the park, I'll never figure out why she didn't win the Oscar) run down the street in the snow, babbling and emaciated, certainly isn't something I'd want to see again for a while.

And the push-off sequences are really, really cool.

Hey Mandy

I finally saw this movie, and there are some things I have to say about it.

- First, Ellen Burstyn absolutely blew me away with her performance. As you said, she truly knocked it out of the ball park. Her acting performance on this movie is indeed IMO one of the most amazing I've ever seen. The fact that she lost the Oscar to Julia Roberts for 'Erin Brocovich' is absurd. Makes me feel even more certain that the Academy gives awards based on popularity on not talent.

- The cinematography and editing job on this movie was superb! Once again, why doesn't the Academy recognize this? They didn't even receive a fu**in' nomination, can you believe it?!

- This movie was disturbing, but I actually expected it to be more disturbing than it actually was. However, I was extremely grossed out by watching Harry's arm when it got infected for shooting so much heroine.
