I live in the USA and I would love to see them make their way here. I have tickets to see Paul Rogers on June 5, 2005 in Vermont and I know he is coming to my home state Connecticut in June as well. These dates were set way before the Queen tour was announced and I heard that the tour would have been longer if he did not have these previous obligations. I think all of you in England would be shocked at the large following Queen had and continues to have. A tour would be a great sucess. I too wish John would join the tour but as we all know, that will not happen. I say stop debating if it should be Queen tour or not but I say ENJOY it while you can, you have no idea how lucky you are to even have the option to see them again!!!

Well said.

Enjoy Paul's show - I'm still looking into
if he's heading towards my neck of the woods.

Judging from Brian's newly posted interview,
we WILL get a chance to see the Q+PR show!!!

Pretty exciting!!...understatement?

So what type of venues do you think they will
be able to pull off?
If they don't start til September,
their amphitheater time is limited due to winter.
Do you think they could fill places like
Conseco Fieldhouse, Delta Center, Palace of Auburn Hills?

I can't express how excited I am about this! It's like a surreal dream come true.

They'll play 8,000 seaters, in my opinion, although Arenas of 14,000 aren't out of the question, since they've been selling better in Europe than expected.

I'll be at a few shows for certain.

So you think small to medium-size venues? Think they'll just go for larger cities such as the ones they played in the 70's and 80's?

I think they could do the 14,000 seaters in the larger cities, maybe.
That would probably lead to a very short tour, wouldn't it?

I definitey think they will need to ditch their "word-of-mouth" game plan when they come Stateside.
They'll need to hit all the talk shows.
If they do this, the arenas will be
easily in their grasp.

ps. the exciting news is that Q+PR will most definitely tour the US!

Short tour?

In any case, I'll be excited regardless of where they end up playing...they better come to Chicago!!!

financially, i believe a tour of the US and Canada would be successful.

I completely agree,
but at what scale do you think they would be pushing it?

I mean, I would go see them if they played another 400 person club, but for obvious reasons I would rather see them in a 15,000+ arena.
What are your thoughts on THAT being financially successfull?

Wholly Kamolly,

Where in the "Seven Seas of Rhye" have I been? Ann11 can you please tell me where in Vermont Paul Rodgers is going to be performing? I have been surfing ebay so long acquiring Queen goodies that I have completely been out of touch with upcoming shows. Of course been out of that circulation for many years since the 60', 70's and early 80's concert years. Saw "The Band" (QUEEN) 12 times in So. Cal. Backstage and record company/band parties life was great then. Now I'm a out of touch ex-disc jockey from the west hibernating in the tundra of Vermont. Too much dribble here, please ann11 let me know of the Paul Rodgers performance location. Most likely will pass on the psuedo Queen Tour. Without the "Mercury" nothing to get "Hot" about.

Remember don't be a "LIAR" and above all do what it takes to "KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE" and the day may come when we all meet at the "SEVEN SEAS OF RHYE"

Uncasville, CT (June 5?) is the Mohegan Casino. Queen has played and recorded at casinos before, spin the wheel

I have a feeling Queen will make it to the US, but with my luck, they probably wont make it to the West Coast. Hell even when Queen was still going in the 70's and 80's, the closest they made it to me is San Fransisco. Only an hour away, and Im willing to drive that far for Brian and Roger... and i guess Paul. (I saw Bad Company about 3 years ago, GREAT concert, im looking forward to see how Paul does as Freddie)

LOL, exactly my thoughts :-) We're here travelling to many different countries to see Queen in concert and this guy is proud that he will even drive one hour to see them! :-)
