I actually started seriously listening to Queen because of my brother who got "Jazz" for his birthday (Yes he still has the original LP - the bastard!) He added a few more albums to the collection and I just grew up on it and eventually started buying my own!

I've actually got a funny story with that "Jazz" album. Of course it came with the poster of the Bicycle Race. Now my sibilings and I were brought up in a strict Catholic household. Of course my brother thought it was great (as would any red blooded male teenager) to have the poster and promptly put it up on the back of his bedroom door - not to mention some of his school mates and other neighbourhood boys coming for viewings!! My sister and I knew about it but our mum didn't - until she went on a cleaning frenzy in my brother's room. Well of course there was the usual accusatory "WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET THAT???" from my mother and of course my brother's response was "You gave it to me!!!!" Unfortunately her comeback was rather savage........yep folks, she burnt it!!!!!!!!!

Great story!

I became a Queen fan after listening to We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions on Live Killers.

Two songs, one big fan!

When we were kids, when we were young and things seemed so perfect (I was eight or nine years old then), I had some older friends. One of them got GHII and sang We Want To Break Free while playing computer games. I found it kind of interesting, and made a copy of his CD (on tape). I'm a huge fan since that day.

I got to try al little more,

because I'm an asshole but I'm learning.

I was about 10 years old when I heard We are the Champions. My mum was a queen - fan and she introduced me to Queens music. I remember crying when I found out that Freddie had died a few years ago ( that was awful then, but now makes me laugh ).
The other kids bullied me at school and they thought I was gay because I listened a band whose singer was homosexual. It made me super-gay because I also liked Elton John and went to see him once. How stupid is that???
Well, the bulluying didn't turn me down and I'm still a hc Queen-fan!!!

Because my older brother had GH2 on video and i watched it when i was seven and used to get up and sing every song on the thing with a piece of a fireplace. I guess me and Brian May are alike then. Oh those where the days.

Mostly because of my Uncle, who's been a Queen fan since he was 16 or so. I got to listen to one of Queen's albums when I was 6 years old or so, I believe it was ANATO. Anyway I've been hooked every since.

I most have become a fan in late 1991.
Because Bohemian Rhapsody was on the radio a lot.
I know I was young and around 91 I was 8 years old.

I kept asking my brother to warn me when the clip came on, later he taped it for me.

I couldn't stop listening to that great voice of Freddie.

Sometime later I was in a record shop with my parents and I saw the cd lying around (greatest hits 1). My parents bought it for me because I listened bohemian rhapsody so much.

That cd also I really couldn't stop listening.

And again sometime after that I saw Greatest hits 2 and again my parents bought it for me.

A lot later I bought the other albums, it was really great to discover more and more albums and each time I thougt the albums were great.

When I was 16 I saw the first videoclips and I thought they were great.

After that I really became a fan.

That voice did it for me....

I remember hearing Killer Queen on the radio
in 1975 [ before ANATO came out] I'd be 9 going on 10 years old . My brother bought "Opera"
in 1976 and that summer I must have listened to
it every day in our bedroom .I just couldn't
get enough . We didn't even have a stereo , just a record player from the '60s . [ah memories ]. I took the album to school and played Death On Two Legs for the kids .When
Freddie sings " But now you can kiss my ass
goodbye " I thought that was so cool and naughty [ I was trying to impress those grade 6ers ]
That's basically my story.
Oh ya , I got into Kiss too, but that's another story .

I was at my Grandma and Grandpas house, and goin' through some old CD's of my parents. I saw one titled 'Chicago', but thought it was from the movie Chicago or somethin', so I ignored it. Then, I got bored again, so I listened to it, and didn't take it out of my CD player for months :D Thats how I got into 70's-80's music. It went from Chicago, to Bon Jovi, to Metallica, ect.. Now its Queen, and I don't think its gonna change for a while :D

I was 14 and saw the video for BoRhap on TV and heard Bo Rhap on the radio and I think about the same time I heard Both Somebody To Love and Killer Queen and saw the videos for them too, this was about oh 1975.

Then I became a HUGE Queen fan bewteen 1985-1989, from watching them "steal" Live Aid, and on when I really appreciated all of their music, and who they are as true artists.

When Freddie came to me in a dream in late April 1992. Till then I had liked and listened to Queen secretly because my brother loved them and I didn't want to admit I liked them too...So silly of me.
