Hey guys, here is a preview of Jim Hutton's (Freddie's last lover) book "Mercury and me".

These 3 pages read super fast....and I think you will find them very interesting.

When you read this, it fills in alot of pieces of the puzzle to various timelines, and events.

For example: Everyone in the world has said that Queen, but Freddie in particular, absolutely stole the show at Live Aid.

When you read this, you realize that Freddie was in love with a new boyfriend (Jim Hutton) , and that when Freddie told Jim "lets go, we are going to Live Aid right now"..

Jim...at that point still didn't fully understand just how big Freddie and Queen were.....as Jim stood off the side of the stage, Freddie performed live for the first time in front of his new boyfrend... the guy who would be with him until his death.

Many of you know that the day of Live Aid, Freddie had a throat infection, and was encouraged by doctors not to sing.....
In the end though, Freddie, excited about this new person in his life, was still able to go out in front of 70,000-80,000 people....hold them in the palm of his hand.... convert non-Queen fans into Queen believers... and literally make every other band sound like amature's.

I agree, parts of this 3 page preview are depressing, but I like the writing style, and I find Jim's words very believable.

I will probably try to find this book somewhere, and its about impossible in the USA.

Though I had heard that this book was a sellout tell-all, from what you posted which I thoroughly read,

it seems to be quite the opposite, a very loving, kind, genuine recollection of love found, embraced, and treasured...by both Jim and Freddie.

I'm very happy that Freddie had someone to comfort and love him...like a true spouse...through the good times and the bad, through sickness and health...a true love in every sense to live out Freddie's last years with fullfillment, joy, love, and peace...

Jim sounds like a dear and wonderful friend and lover. Hope he means all this.

I found it really interesting to read and is depressing towards the end but I like the way the story tells us about Freddi's wild days and what sort of person he was.

Eh don't get me wrong, I liked it. But it's still sad.
