The question shouldn't be "why are the names of each band member mentioned in the invisible man", but "why aren't the names of each band member mentioned in every song other than the invisible man?"

Ponder THAT one for a while.

The simple answer is that it's part of the lyrics. Bohemian Rhapsody for example had different lyrics.

You do not find, "I'm just a poor boy nobody loves me" in "The Invisible man" - do you?

John's name mentioned in 'demo' version of 'One Vision':
"One man, one goal, one true religion,
One dump, one turd, two tits/to feed John Deacon..."

Freddie's name mentioned in 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love':
"...Ready Freddie!"

Why?!

Actually, I do, but I'm also going deaf.

I think it's just part of Queen's humour IMO.

But that's just me...

Might also be to remember who the band members were - as they were getting older when Invisible Man was released.

You mean - they were getting old so there was a risk that they might forget each other names? :))

When questions such as that are raised, the answer is always 'why not?'.

I have another interesting question:
Why did they have names?

I've got just one word for the one who started this thread....

NEWBIE!

No offence... but as said before... the only answer to that is: Why not?

Yes, it's obvious that you don't know what you're trying to say, and I'm really sorry you think that way...
You know, rap is not only this today crap that you're familiar with; rap was very different and much better back in the days... trust me, I know what I'm talking about.
